In other words, she was doing the kind of thing they do to random people all day long. Knowing how cops feel, it was probably an ordinary traffic jam.

They just let her go? They thought she was such a threat that she needed to die, then just let her go? Doesn’t sound like what a cop would do.

I don’t care if they were being boxed in. If there were people in those vehicles being kidnapped, it seems perfectly reasonable to use non-violent means to prevent the kidnappers from escaping.

Tricia McLaughlin, a spokeswoman for the Department of Homeland Security, said [bullshit and lies omitted]. …

The Chicago Sun-Times and WBEZ have not independently verified the feds’ account.

They could tell their readers a bit more directly, but I am glad some media outlets are beginning to realize you can’t believe a single thing anyone working for this administration says and everything needs independent verification.

McLaughlin said “no law enforcement officers were seriously injured,” and the wounded woman “drove herself to the hospital to get care for wounds.” But Larry Merritt, a Chicago Fire Department spokesman, said she was found near 39th Street and Kedzie Avenue and taken in fair condition to Mount Sinai Hospital.

Since when do cops shoot someone but not arrest them? Given the level of basic humanity they have been showing I’d guess maybe they were hoping she’d bleed out and they’d have some plausible deniability for not offering any life saving care, but seriously this just reads like a sloppy stupid shit show of an event.

Chicago police records shared with the Sun-Times show that a Border Patrol agent had called for assistance, reporting that roughly 30 agents had been “surrounded by a large crowd of people.” But police officials weren’t sent to help, the records show.

Chicago cop #1: “Ah man, these ICE guys are making a lot of work for us and are a bunch of assholes about it, but I don’t want to help protesters, what can we do?”

Chicago cop #2: “Same thing we did in 2020 when they tried to make us wear masks and get the COVID shot. [Turns off radio]. Wanna go get a coffee?”

Chicago cop #1: “Hell yeah, let’s hit that spot with the barista that [pervert shit].”

A police spokesperson said officers ultimately responded to a call of a person shot in the 3900 block of South Kedzie Avenue “to document the incident” and “maintain safety and traffic control for all living and working in the area.”

But the Chicago Police Department “is not involved in the incident or its investigation. Federal authorities are investigating this shooting, the spokesperson said.

Seriously, what the fuck do these people get paid for? If just like one of the entities that people in this country have been paying taxes to for years could step up and protect us for once in their goddamn miserable fuck off existences, that would be great.

ICE claims that. Who knows what reality is. They’re quick to pull out phones one on one to try to intimidate hecklers, but somehow this event wasn’t recorded?

Yeah, I’m guessing they rammed someone and suddenly found themselves surrounded by cars that weren’t moving-not boxing them in, just there. Also curious to see if there is a single shred of evidence that the “semiautomatic weapon” this woman supposedly fired at the brownshirts even exists.

They don’t even claim she fired it, that might be expected to produce evidence, just that she had one.

So, their story is that they were already stopped by this blockade of 10 cars, and then this woman tried to ram their parked vehicles with her car, which would probably legally be deadly force on her part, justifying them in using their own deadly force and shooting her, and then they left. Also, she tried to kill them with her car while having access to a firearm.

… That is a version of events.
