The Russian invasion of Ukraine (I support Ukraine)
The Israeli genocide in Gaza (genocide is a war crime)
Demostic wars that US tax dollars pay for:
The war on drugs
The war on terror
The war on woke
Note: these are not just semantics. The word “war” was chosen by leaders to facilitate policy changes like increased militarization of police, creation of entire departments, and loss of US citizen freedoms.
Personally, I think the word war is synonymous with the military industrial complex. It is a self propecuating cycle of harm.
Ukraine is a sovereign nation and is supported by its allies. allies have not declared war against Russia – not a war
Israel is a sovereign nation and is taking action against a perceived threat against its government (false IMO but 🤷) – not a war
the rest aren’t wars, they are political movements sold to the American public under the guise of better protection but in reality is the establishment of a police state nation.
war is war. none of what you said is a war. words are important. don’t perpetuate the invalidation of the word “war” by continuing the misuse of the word they have instigated.
Are you saying that Ukraine’s allies, specifically the USA are not financially supporting the Ukraine war? Remember we are talking about how the cost of war effects the economy.
it sounds like you’re dismissing the war in Gaza because of how you are deciding to define the word war. Do you really think that daily airstrikes, ground invasion,a siege, and an officially recognized genocide doesn’t qualify as a war simply because it hasn’t been declared?
I couldn’t disagree more on the rest of your points. You seem so focused on semantics that you can’t see the obvious. Also, if we are going to base everything on semantics, if the commander in chief declares something a war, then it is one.
US tax dollars are being used for these activities, no matter if you support them or not. And in some cases (more specifically the domestic ones) they are a net negative on GDP.
Either the Israeli genocide in Gaza or the seemingly coming war in Venezuela. Or the war they wage on their own population. Probably that last one. Didn’t trump say: let’s train our troops in our cities? I mean the USA were never really short on unjustified wars they started. Currently is a bit of a pause, admittedly.
In what way. Please elaborate.
(heh.)
Inb4: OP was just referring to the titel and angry americans followed
Just the way that this would make sense to me.
what war?
There is none. They are talking out of their asses. Watch them start ignoring every comment as soon as they are called out.

none of those are wars.
The US has been in a war/conflict 93% of its 249 years existence. They’re always at war.
conflict is not war.
