So, here’s the thing. We all know Trump’s a bastard. If they use him to try to control the cartel’s he’ll pretty much just take over Mexico once the troops are in the border.

In this case the enemy of my enemy doesn’t apply here, because your enemy’s enemy is a fascist asshole with no satiation for power and money.

I don’t think we’d be able to take over Mexico just like that. Fighting cartel’s would be nearly impossible given they have billions of dollars, are in their own territory, and don’t have any rules of engagement.

True, other option I hadn’t thought of is to use war time to stay in power, so we’re ‘forever at war’ with Mexico to keep his dictatorship going

I’m fairly certain that’s where this shit is going to end up.

Fuck everything, I’m gonna move to the EU and work for Dassault Systemes or Rheinmetall or Naval Group and try to help them build enough stuff so Europe has a fighting chance when the orangeboi regime/dynasty turns their greedy fucking eyes towards that continent.

Also, what exactly is it that drug cartels do that they think Trump has a problem with? Murder? Kidnapping? Human trafficking? Rape? Selling harmful addictive products? Trump loves all that shit, the only thing he’s got against Mexican drug cartels is that they’re Mexican

A scorpion wants to cross a river but cannot swim, so it asks a frog to carry it across. The frog hesitates, afraid that the scorpion might sting it, but the scorpion promises not to, pointing out that it would drown if it killed the frog in the middle of the river. The frog considers this argument sensible and agrees to transport the scorpion. Midway across the river, the scorpion stings the frog anyway, dooming them both. The dying frog asks the scorpion why it stung despite knowing the consequence, to which the scorpion replies: “I am sorry, but I couldn’t help myself. It’s my nature.”
