[Mike] Gabbard used to oppose same-sex marriage and civil unions. He used to believe that marriage should only be between a man and a woman. However, in March 2024 he voted to put Amendment 1 on the ballot and expressed support for same-sex marriage. Gabbard apologized for his previous opposition to same-sex marriage and stated that conversations with his daughter Tulsi led to him evolving on this issue.

I haven’t read anything about him having Russian connections aside from his daughter, but I would not be surprised. I believe he’s the one who raised her in the cult.
