I have no affiliation with the service but I’ve been running Filen.io these past 2 years ever since switching away from my own Nextcloud instance. It’s E2EE and been running really smoothly. Also cheap and sometimes they offer lifetime packages when their algorithm decides that they can do so (which I think is a good thing in order to not have it unsustainable for them).

My only complaint is that the Android app doesn’t work half of the time, meaning you’d have to close it and re-open it 2-3 times to get it working. Otherwise it’ll get stuck on the main loading screen. Seems to be a network issue with the app that’s been posted on Github, but that hasn’t been solved for a long time now… Not a dealbreaker for me though.

The android app kinda blows, as you said.

My issue with them is that they have repeatedly changed their privacy policy. They started with self hosting Matomo for analytics without announcing it, including in the changelog then went to Google again, no mention . both times they got called out, then made an announcement.

I got the lifetime 100GB to use filen as a backup in case my NAS and/or Infomaniak fail

Mobile app sucks, but its fine as a backup for the most important stuff really

I just heard about them in another post here and just signed up for the free account, to test them out.

So far I’m really impressed. They have an app for Linux, you can mount it as a drive and it even has CLI for using it with a server.

The 100GB lifetime for 30€ is very interesting. You can even buy it multiple times, so they stack.
