Well, the concert every week thing is an issue regarding ticket inflation caused by Ticketmaster and their subsidiaries; but I digress.

As for raising a kid, yeah, they’re expensive and everything is pretty shit now. I’m sure most people that want to raise a kid in a good environment want to have a home first (I know I did), and that’s effectively impossible right now.

The other part, kids are hit with tons of extra fees these days. Nothing is included, everything cost extra, and it adds up. For example I don’t think there is a week that goes by were his school is not asking for donations or setup some dumb event that requires more money. Like pajama day cost $2 if they want to participate… Sports is not only a fee anymore but you have to pay for everything extra and uniforms as well which is funny because they are normally sponsored which i thought meant that business donated the money or uniforms so we didnt have to. Everything is nickle and dimed these days, which also doesn’t help.

What the fuck? Paying for the privilege to wear pajamas? That’s bullshit. I’m glad we haven’t had to deal with that yet. My little one gets to earn bringing a stuffy to school, and sometimes they just have fun days. But paying is horrible. I feel bad for the families who just can’t afford it. Then the kids get made fun of. It’s a horrible cycle.

So I have 11 children and am the sole income for my family. Most of my working life I’ve made median or below median income. I’m open to questions for anyone who wants to know how we made this work.

We got married while still in college. Our first was born exactly nine months from the date we married. I kinda expected it to take 18 months of two years but we certainly didn’t mind that things went faster than expected.
