Because for the last forty years, they’ve had out of control fires. And they do nothing about it except, say.Send help!

Do nothing about it? They have nearly 30,000 firefighters, more than any other state in the union, more than most countries in the world.

They pay billions more in taxes than they receive in aid, and you’re salty because they have the nerve to ask for help when wildfires threaten people’s homes and safety?

      Get bent.

Ok, got bent, but your perspective is still selfish and full of pseudo moralistic standing and bull shit.

California has historically underinvested in or under‐executed preventive forest/fuel management (thinning, prescribed burns, hazard fuel removal), the infrastructure for natural resistance to fire is weak. The frequent external aid, resources from other states, federal funds, helps deal with the immediate disaster but does not fundamentally reduce fuel loads or ameliorate systemic vulnerabilities. Thus, unless resource management is reformed at scale (with stable funding, regulatory streamlining, workforce development, ecological restoration), fires will continue to recur with high severity, requiring large external interventions again and again.

They don’t manage their natural resources. Like you not monitoring your mental resources.

Okay, but then with how much tax money they send away from their own state, they could actually fix all that. If they wanted to, anyway.

Lmao but you’ll cry if you stop receiving their taxes, several times more than any low education red state lmao. Blue states keep red states alive, literally.

Nope, im blue state, I pay fuck ton of taxes.

But 40 years of constant mismanagement of natural resources speaks for itself. I’m a park professional, this is basic stuff.

But throw good money after bad, while people are homeless. Throw your money away if you want.

I’ll at least complain about it.
