Where Does the Name Come From?
Kitchen sink cookies are a play on the phrase “everything but the kitchen sink.” The idea is that the cookies are packed with everything you could think of, be it salty, sweet, or anything in between. When packed with mix-ins that hit all those different flavor notes, the resulting cookies deliver big time on flavor and texture.
We made these cookies without the potato chips because the kids ate them… thinking the chips were theirs!
I don’t see any porcelain OR stainless steel in those cookies.
I will try them in my next batch.
The ingredient that really makes it “kitchen sink” is E. coli.
I’m saving that for the holidays!

Kitchen Sink Cookies recipe from Simply Recipes.
They look great, nicely done.
😊
Thanks for the recipe!
I get the sweet/salty thing, but I don’t think I’d enjoy the crunchy in with the chewy. They look good though (maybe because you skipped the crunchy/salty mix-ins).
The only thing I (unwillingly) skipped was the potato chips. It’s hard to tell from the picture but my small salty pretzel 🥨 is there, LOL.
I was pleasantly surprised when I received a box of these cookies from Panera – they were delicious so I had to try and make them.
Oh, yeah, I see. Hmm, not sure how I feel about it. I really love soft chocolate chip cookies.
The same sink I peed in while drunk? Gross.
Buddy, that was no sink. That was your bed you peed in. It was hilarious! Now go shower, you’re gross.
No, I was the one who peed in his bed. Mea culpa.
He seems to have liked it. You’re all good.
