You equate “hatred of jews” with “the demand that Germany should turn its back on Israel”. That right there. How far can Israel go before you turn your back on them? Like is there a number of dead civilians? You won’t turn your back on Israel no matter what the fuck they do? Do you not see that’s enabling? Do you not see that it makes you complicit in every fucking crime they do? Like is there no end to the depravity you will stomach, so long as it is consistent with your “staatsraison”? If “your country’s soul” cannot hold the humanity of Palestinians as equal to the humanity of Israelis, then fuck your country’s precious little soul. You feel guilty about the Holocaust? Go fucking wallow in it and shut the fuck up instead of raising a finger to chastise those of us who when they say NEVER THE FUCK AGAIN, they mean it FOR EVERYHONE.
No Merzie. If politicians can’t separate Israel from Jews and criticize the former yet protect the latter, then don’t be surprised Pikachu if other people don’t either. It is you who’s equating the two, making Jews vulnerable to accusations of genocide, even if they loath Israel themselves.

I think people can separate between people of a faith and a genocide government better than he thinks.
What I would hope to see of Jewish communities all over the world is some public separation from and critique of the Israeli governments actions.

Other way around. The thing Israel is being criticized for is causing hatred of Jews. Want to protect Jews? Stop the genocide. But Germany has a blind spot for this big enough to drive a whole second holocaust through.
