Hochul endorsed Mamdani in a New York Times opinion essay published Sunday evening.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has endorsed Zohran Mamdani in the New York mayor’s election.
Hochul, a Democrat, backed Mamdani in a New York Times opinion essay published Sunday evening.
“In the past few months, I’ve had frank conversations with him,” Hochul said in the essay. “We’ve had our disagreements. But in our conversations, I heard a leader who shares my commitment to a New York where children can grow up safe in their neighborhoods and where opportunity is within reach for every family.”
Is this because the senior Democrats have figured out some other way of getting rid of him, so she can afford to look like she’s with the people, risk free? Or am I being too cynical?
She up for reelection next year. She wants to ride the wave.
And she’s already being primaried by her own lieutenant governor, who’s focused on some of the same issues as Mamdani.
I mean…
You have people endlessly bitching that dems aren’t endorsing him. Then they do and people still bitch?
I don’t think there’s a lot of value in presenting people with a no win situation.
As a rule, leftists hate any actual leftward progress.
Well, it’s either because the fascists promised to take care of it or she realized NY might just vote for him as governor next.
