Folks have already pointed out the whole “multiple teams of sled dogs” thing.

The dogs also weren’t delivering vaccine. They were delivering diphtheria antitoxin, which is a treatment for diphtheria, not an inoculation. The kids were already sick.

There was technically a vaccine for diphtheria then (it was invented in 1923, two years before this epidemic), but it wouldn’t have saved anyone who’d already caught the infection.

To be fair, the covid vaccine isn’t a vaccine. It’s an experimental genetic therapy (created by a corporation that would happily murder you for profit).

    That’s the facts.

RNA vaccines may be relatively new, but they aren’t genetic therapy. It does not get integrated into your DNA.

Plus, weren’t there 3 covid vaccines? One of them used a more traditional method.

A vaccine is a substance used to stimulate the production of antibodies and provide immunity against a disease. The COVID-19 vaccines do exactly this.

It trains your body to fight the disease. The methods and techniques are different but the fundamentals are still the same. It’s ridiculous to think that its permanent genetic modification.

The only “genetic modification” that I understand happening is the modification to our immune systems being able to fight diseases much better than before. Eventually getting rid of diseases entirely.

But I guess people thought that was stupid, so now we have measles again like its 1953

Fuck that. Balto’s owner was the asshole. Balto himself and his team were sold and spent years malnourished and chained to a sled in a freak show wondering what they did wrong, and when they were finally “rescued” they wound up in a zoo. Well fed, but in cages while people gawked at them. Balto watched the rest of his team die one by one until he himself died blind and paralyzed.

Togo spent the rest of his life with his family. Neither dog knew they were famous or why, but Togo knew he was loved.

I think Togo won in the end, because Balto and his sled team basically became freak show animals and later live museum exhibits, chained and starving, like they weren’t living creatures at all. They were later rescued and ended their days as zoo animals. After Balto died he was stuffed and put in a museum.

Meanwhile Togo and his team went on tours, were given gold medals, continuing their lives as sled dogs and Togo got to retire in a nice kennel where he was bred and lived well until he was euthanized at the age of 16 due to health complications.

Don’t feel bad for Togo. He may have been largely forgotten to history, but he sure as shit won the life lottery compared to Balto.

The sled dog team led by Balto didn’t deliver vaccines. The vaccine for Diphtheria didn’t exist in 1925.

They delivered diphtheria antitoxin serum which was the only treatment at the time.

The image has a good sentiment though. The Florida change is just more undermining of public schools to push private charter school enrollment. These bozos in our government voted in vouchers to directly subsidize the businesses they themselves are invested in.

It was actually several different sled dogs that made the trip and Togo did the longest and most difficult part. There’s a movie about Togo on Disney+
