I want to get some recommendations on hardware (controllers) and games. Here’s my lunch time idea. Right now I got a high power 1080p projector that we watch movies on every night. Let’s say I got 8 players and a run of the mill computer. It does have a midrange nvidia card and AMD processor but let’s ignore that. What simple family games could we all play together on the same screen. For example sometimes we hookup the Nintendo (will never buy a thing from them due to being an asshole company now) and we play smash brothers or some of the various racing games. I would like to stay on Linux and see what options there are for a single screen multiplayer fun game, and what controllers from Amazon… Hopefully cheap…are available.

Cool, let me know. How do those compare to PS2 controller fakes? I got some Bluetooth controllers like that. But I need to get new ones for sure.

I can’t say I’ve ever used a dualshock 2 clone, but I’ve used a sixaxis and ds3? Ergonomically they seem somewhat similar. In terms of quality, I can’t say. The controller I’ve linked is wired only, however. If that’s a dealbreaker, a company called 8bitdo make some fairly affordable wireless gamepads which are all Linux friendly (directly interpreted by steaminput)
