Heartburn has only been a problem for me when I am eating too many carbs. This was one of my low carb phases so no problem there.

It definitely burned going down, but the real fun came the next morning on the way out.

Oddly, a friend grew ghost peppers and made a very simple hot sauce: blended peppers and vinegar with a touch of sugar and salt. I didn’t know that was the exact recipe so I just dipped a whole chicken wing in and went to town. It was weird, like it was so spicy that it almost wasn’t spicy because my whole head went numb.

The next day I was fearing the worst but… no issue! I actually ended up using that hot sauce all fall and winter as a chicken wing sauce. Never had a problem.

Tried a donair pizza with pickled jalapenos on it and it felt like a platoon of ants armed with flamethrowers decided to attack my asshole, with the added bonus that the cheese didn’t exactly speed things along.

So I’m basically done mixing hot peppers and cheese

There’s a local company called “Fireland Foods” They have all kinds of sauces with basically no fancy ingredients beside xanthan gum for the thickness. Here’s a screenshot of their Habanero Sauce:
