Oh, I’m well aware of that despicable school in the Upstate. That whole area is still riddled with prejudice.

Absolutely! We’re still a bit away from being solely reliant, in the general sense, on renewables, but they’re fantastic at grid supplimentation! We should be heavily investing in both, but much more in nuclear, as it has higher energy yield and is able to meet demand better. Having an EE degree has proven more stressful in recent years with the administrations not doing enough for energy demand in America. It’s no small stretch to say, we are decades behind on demand and infrastructure. We’ve punted the ball so many times that it’s a monumental feat to move quickly enough without a large investment in the grid, and even then lol
You’re welcome! I have a Citadel connection, so I know more about the school’s history than I ever cared to learn.
Edit: If I remember correctly, The Citadel was the last military school to admit women. Way to go, South Carolina!
I guess we’re just skipping over the enormous responsibility that is charged to husbands by Paul in his letter to Ephesus, eh? Husbands are supposed to love their wives as Christ loves us. Intending that, husbands should be as blameless and self-sacrifical as Christ. But hey, we don’t give a shit on making sure men do their part, right? The American Evangelical movement is just as bad as every other religions’ zealots they are against. Just cherry picked bullshit with no regards for historical context, hermaneutics, or actually following Jesus’ commands to better the world. It’s all about power, baby!
The administration is too stupid to invest/subsidize nuclear energy to meet America’s demand. We’re fucked.
She wasn’t even the first admitted, just the first to graduate
How Trump supporters, a lot them I know hard-line McCarthyists, don’t see the takeover of the US by Russia is fucking beyond me. But then again, it was never about Russia, it was always about authoritarianism.
“…give Democrats an opening…” Yeaaaahh, they surely won’t squander this opportunity.
It seems this administration will be fought in the courts. I’m glad it turned out well today, but I’m wary of everything going to the courts. Some cases will be lost and irreparable harm will ensue.
Cool, do something about it. I’m so sick of these statements. Just performative theatre
This right here. My local station, radio and television, rely heavily on federal funding, because nobody in the south cares about it. I donate every month, but not everybody does.
That’s the beauty of it all! Congress has to do something!
Hopefully, this amounts to a fraud investigation and shareholders dump their stocks and cause Musk to fall below the margin call and then he liquidates and Tesla goes to rock bottom.
I still feel like Harris had to gave been handicapped on progressive policies from the DNC. There’s simply no way, with her record and history, that she wouldn’t have campaigned on a completely separate platform than Biden unless he, and the DNC forbid it. Now, that brings about a new set of issues; in which she was unable to stand up to the establishment and say, fuck you guys. She used to be pretty progressive in the senate and it all went away with the VP.
There are only three times in American history, that I can find, that habeas corpus was suspended. The civil war, WWII, and right after 9/11. It should be noted that SCOTUS overturned the suspension after 9/11 when Bush wanted to detain and send people to Guantanamo without due process. So, there’s some precedent as to when and how, the question will be, as it is ever increasingly, what is SCOTUS gonna do?
