I’m in the US and people have been recommending this site for weeks and I don’t get it.
Why blindly trust them? There’s almost no info about how they arrive at their ratings and no sources provided anywhere. These could be completely made up numbers for all we know.
I wish there was a better site to use for this purpose because this one leaves so much to be desired.
I switched from DuckDuckGo to Qwant a week ago and so far I’m happy with it. I’m in the US and it does a great job returning search results that are relevant to me here, even though it’s intended for people in Europe.
I also switched from Gmail to Posteo, ChatGPT to Le Chat and Firefox to Waterfox.
I plan to replace Google Drive with Nextcloud, sometime in the next few months when I have the time to set it up.
Google Maps will be the hardest to replace. I’ve tried 8 or so competitors and they all pale in comparison.
