From what I’ve seen, it’s the latter. It’s a very mediocre GTA clone that’s full of bugs and is very forgettable in every way. The writing is also very bad.

Or the developers created a roadmap of updates in 2024 for their early access game then disappeared without any warning and didn’t deliver on their promises. It’s not the end of the world but writing negative reviews because the developers didn’t deliver isn’t entitlement.

Who are “people” in this scenario because I haven’t seen a single person claim Cyberpunk is running at 60fps or the Switch can output 4k 120fps.

Most that you included aren’t really associated with PC anymore though. Geralt, Doomguy, Vault boy, BJ Blazkowicz etc are very popular on consoles too. The only one I would say qualifies for real would be Gordon Freeman, since half-life is usually referred to as one of the great PC classics.

The steam deck doesn’t come with a dock, has a worse screen at 800p/60Hz compared to the S2’s 1080p/120Hz, is way larger and thicker, doesn’t have detachable controllers so if you do buy the dock you’ll have to bring your own controller. It also can’t play in a kickstand mode which is a negative if you’re wanting to play with friends outside which is something I do often with my Switch 1.

I like the Steam Deck, really, but it’s not a 1:1 comparison and I think the average person will still really prefer the Switch 2.
