  • So are they protesting them because immigration at the current conditions is causing issues? Or is it just the usual, “I hate their culture” rhetoric? It seems like the latter, and that’s something immigration policies will never look at, so seems a pointless protest.

But the rhetoric worked in the US and now their cripplingly low unemployment rate is getting even lower, offset by businesses shutting down. While the Presidents plans for a boost to domestic manufacturing is short by about 50 million people because they were just never there to begin with.

Actually, this also seems like a kind of Britain thing to do, to be honest.

  • I’ll never understand Eurovision. Like, I know it’s a really big deal to some people, I just don’t know why or how. It seems to be many things with music as the background theme. As a musician all my life, never been a consideration, but I get people love spectacles and it makes them. I’m guessing it’s highly profitable off the back of that, but dunno.

Whatever it is, Spain using it as the channel it is. It’ll get to people. Good job, Spain. Hope they and others follow through.

  • I see it more like a defensive thing for Europeans in the States. An effort to assure safety from being wrongly accused or detained. It gives these people clear legal grounds if/when US immigration does it’s thing. It is hard to get away with their bullshit when they are provided a channel of transparency. They would have to willfully ignore something that is so blatant. If they do, their mallace is even more exposed.

Should it have ever come to this? Of course not. But stations like that were passed long ago and the train isn’t stopping.
