OK. This needs to be said. Not every 2A adherant is a magat or a republican. There are many of us actual leftists that are armed and getting ready to actually fight this shit. The NRA != every armed American, and the time for leftists failing to be armed is long gone. Dems have been fighting against an actual armed left for decades because they love their capitalism. It is time to mobilize for real.

I remember being on one of those. They were fairly common in the 80s. I also deserved it because I was a little shit that would sprint away at the first opportunity in the grocery store.
Barbie has been huge for politics but in a subtle way. It was the first doll made for girls that didn’t need some kind of help (needing to be feed, being a literal baby or child etc.) and was represented as being fully independent. It was a huge boon towards letting girls know that they weren’t doomed to be homemakers.

What’s really crazy is just how long the $50-$60 is price point stayed. 40 years of that. I’m only surprised that it took this long.
I have been working for and by myself as a machinist for the last 15 years. The first round of steel tariffs hurt a lot, but I was able to pull through just barely. Now, I am losing every contract I’ve got when they expire (which is soon) and as a small fish I have almost no bargaining power on bids for jobs. I am likely going to have to shutter the business and sell all the equipment.
