Well yeah used games are always cheaper
Well yeah used games are always cheaper
When games were expecting to be rentals, the first few levels would be front loaded with the best that the game had to offer, and then later levels would be more phoned in
Still happens today. First impressions matter, budgets are finite, and sometimes reviewers only play the first few parts.

Terra Battle 1, created by the OG final fantasy devs. Best Uematsu soundtrack of that decade and one of the best mobile gachas ever. RIP
Another one?
Makes sense, but if it’s only $10 it should just be free. $10 isn’t worth the bad PR and they should want this tour thing in as many hands as possible.
They’re not even out yet and they redesigned the entire stick. Stop throwing a tantrum about every little detail here ffs. We’ll find out how they are in 2-3 months
“for all ages” and “for kids” are two different things. They don’t make kids games except for some of the yoshi platformers and even those are still playable
You’re overreacting to other people’s social media overreactions. I’m talking about the actual products they sell.
Everything I want was announced for “sometime in 2025”, not launch day. It looks good though.
Nintendo is basically like Apple at this point, the brand is enough to convince people to spend more than they would for the competition, regardless of quality.
People spend more on Apple/Nintendo because of quality. Windows is ten years gone to enshittification. The ps5/xbox have ads on their home screen and are one bad GTA away from a full industry crash
Am I the only one who doesn’t care about this? We’ll wait for the 33% nintendo sales and fill the rest of the year with 3rd party 80% sales like always
???
No it wasn’t
FFXIV, but this doesn’t mean much because it’s dependent on what genres you like.
Most historically significant? Ultima 4, Wizardry 1, Pool of Radiance, Mario 1, Metroid 1, FF4, Chrono Trigger, FF7, Mario 64, Zelda OoT, Counterstrike, Starcraft, Diablo 1, WoW, Cave Story, World of Goo, Minecraft, Skyrim, Dark Souls, Zelda BotW
It’s preserving history!
What a shitty title. Consoles will be happy to get this
Trog
Good AI art should be completely invisible, like when romcom movies with no visible CGI are actually changing the entire sky in certain scenes. People were able to spot the flaws here instantly.
Or if you’re a 1 man studio living in their parent’s basement, go nuts with it. This is a gigantic company that could afford to hire humans.
People don’t get bored of playing/watching the same sports their whole lives
I got that bundle at 95% off and it took me 2 years to finish. It was awesome
Plastic cases, discs, etc are expensive and degrade over time. Consoles will break down. And 50 years from now there’ll be too much history to keep making copies of everything worth saving. If we do want a video game preservation law, make it digital.
Emulation and piracy should be legal for games older than ~20 years, or if the parent company goes under. And online games should be required to make a offline mode patch before shutting down.
