Only rural mail carriers in areas where the regional office does not provide cars are affected by this, and only if they choose to use their own car. They can always walk or bike. And if they choose to use their own car, they get reimbursed for it.

Not exactly true. The rule is that if you are a RURAL mail carrier in an area the does NOT provide a vehicle for you, then you can be reimbursed for using your own vehicle as long as it meets certain standards.

You also have to factor in that parents these days don’t let their kids go outside and do anything by themselves. My aunt won’t let her 10 year old grandson walk by himself 150 ft from her son’s house to hers, in broad daylight while she is at the door watching out in the safest suburb of a small city.

And that is the same rationale used by the guy who just shot and killed a kid. Maybe they are targeting you because they can see how mad you get over a simple and common prank.

There won’t be. California isn’t as blue as everyone thinks. And most Californian voters aren’t aware enough of what the rest of the country is doing to understand why Newsom would be turning back a democratic anti-gerrymandering law.

I’ve already received a political pamphlet in the mail saying this is undemocratic and un-Californian and will result in the worst possible outcome for California. The propaganda machine has already kicked in.

The thing is, I would normally agree. We voted in a neutral re-districting council law to stop partisan gerrymandering because partisan gerrymandering is undemocratic. However, Republicans are trying to steal the country, and if this is the only way to stop it then I’ll grudgingly accept it.

To be fair to him, trucks CAN run on corn-based fuel, which is heavily subsidized and a major crop in Nebraska. Take away that revenue source for a major employer in his state, and then what will they do?
