That’s not really true.

Only rural mail carriers in areas where the regional office does not provide cars are affected by this, and only if they choose to use their own car. They can always walk or bike. And if they choose to use their own car, they get reimbursed for it.

Not exactly true. The rule is that if you are a RURAL mail carrier in an area the does NOT provide a vehicle for you, then you can be reimbursed for using your own vehicle as long as it meets certain standards.
You also have to factor in that parents these days don’t let their kids go outside and do anything by themselves. My aunt won’t let her 10 year old grandson walk by himself 150 ft from her son’s house to hers, in broad daylight while she is at the door watching out in the safest suburb of a small city.
And that is the same rationale used by the guy who just shot and killed a kid. Maybe they are targeting you because they can see how mad you get over a simple and common prank.
It’s not creepy. It’s the most common prank done around the world by nearly every generation of kids. Or it was until people started killing kids for it.
Literally everyone in the Space Force thinks this is a bad idea. It’s a waste of time and money, since everything is already headquartered where all the work is. It’s also headquartered in a state where people actually want to live and work. We already have facilities there.
Moving it to Alabama does nothing except help a conservative politician look better.
Is someone ringing your doorbell alarming to you? Especially in a city like Houston. I get that in the country it is rare for people to be out and about. I also get that you might be scared if they ring the doorbell late at night, but that’s what peepholes are for. Or Ring cameras. Or keeping the door closed and yelling, “Who is it?”
Are you seriously equating ringing a doorbell with kicking a door down?
I hope he trips while he’s running and busts up his teeth, but I don’t want him to die.
You hope a child is seriously disfigured and has to endure painful reconstruction and likely very expensive dental bills for… checks notes… annoying you? I mean, at least you don’t wish death up on him for playing the prank that nearly every child ever has played. Just serious injury, which is totally OK.
I hate Google as much as the next guy, but their response is dead on. If millions of real people are marking the same thing as spam, then the algorithms are forced to identify that thing as spam.
By your rationale, any story about any city anywhere is a local thing.
Wow, that’s a really bad excuse to murder 20 people. Not that there is really a good excuse for murdering 20 people, but this one is especially weak.
You can’t bake a cake without breaking a few thousand eggs
Is this the same census that Trump says overcounted populations because it included “illegals?” And is this the same Florida that has a huge “illegals” problem?
overcome the false portrayal right wing media will paint this with
Yep, the political mailers have already been sent out saying this will be the death of democracy in California.
There won’t be. California isn’t as blue as everyone thinks. And most Californian voters aren’t aware enough of what the rest of the country is doing to understand why Newsom would be turning back a democratic anti-gerrymandering law.
I’ve already received a political pamphlet in the mail saying this is undemocratic and un-Californian and will result in the worst possible outcome for California. The propaganda machine has already kicked in.
The thing is, I would normally agree. We voted in a neutral re-districting council law to stop partisan gerrymandering because partisan gerrymandering is undemocratic. However, Republicans are trying to steal the country, and if this is the only way to stop it then I’ll grudgingly accept it.
"If you ever fall off the Sears Tower, just go real limp, because maybe you’ll look like a dummy and people will try to catch you because, hey, free dummy.”
To be fair to him, trucks CAN run on corn-based fuel, which is heavily subsidized and a major crop in Nebraska. Take away that revenue source for a major employer in his state, and then what will they do?
I mean, they could use all the land they have to create green energy with wind, sun, hydro, geothermal, or nuclear and then sell that energy to bigger states that is “sent” via the massive electrical grid enhancement designed to do just that and started under Biden… Oh, wait, Nebraska voted for Trump who just killed that project.
Literally 5 kids killed in 2 separate incidents on the same day this shit stain gets killed.
