Foss means waterfall in Norwegian from Norse fors. It doesn’t see any use in modern Danish from what I know, but there might be a link there considering that Danfoss works in fluid control equipment, pump, seal, valve manufacturing, climate & energy

Can we just start to state the obvious? They want the minerals on Greenland for tech “adventures” so they don’t have to rely on China.

This is my first comment, just joined during the weekend. It took about half a day to get used to the lower amount of stuff and the slower pace here. And I really like it! The quality of discourse here seems so much higher and with the lower amount of posts I find that I can take my time and not get overwhelmed. Should have joined years ago :-)
