The data seems to be weird/lacking so far, a lot of phones have “10” as “battery endurance in cycles”, and some have the “Battery user-replaceable” even though it clearly isn’t (e.g. glued on back glass)

PS: sorry I’m an idiot, I misunderstood what “battery endurance in cycles” meant (it seems to actually be “hundreds of cycles”). Also “battery user-replaceable” phones don’t have a glued-on back indeed, I was looking at a wrong model.

Hm, this is interesting - I am indeed “outdoorsy” and could only see “white and gold in shadow”. I think this might also be because of the highlight on the right suggesting that it’s daylight all around and the dress is in deep shadow, and the blue color is also highly reminiscent of “white cloth in deep shadow”. This XKCD helped me clear up the confusion and now if I squint I can see both color schemes:

Not an exact alternative (it’s missing reviews and photos are relatively rare), but I use OsmAnd for this. Most “official” trails (e.g. those maintained by the park administration, etc) are mapped on OpenStreetMap already. There’s also support for “Travel Routes” (I think they come from WikiTravel? Not sure); this covers the most popular “unofficial” routes. Once I ran out of those, I started just looking at mountains without trees but with a path to the summit marked on the map. This way, I’ve been able to find hikes for almost every weekend for three years now (definitely over 100 at this point) in a tiny country (Georgia); I’ve obviously had some misses (paths being overgrown, trails being meh, etc) but overall I’ve found it really nice.

Yep, I think that “cut a liberal and a fascist bleeds” is in the same vein. I understand where it’s coming from, but I feel like instead of alienating people who self-identify as liberals we need to point out that liberalism is self-contradictory (private ownership of capital is eventually incompatible with equality before law, democracy and liberty in general). So, when times get tough (because of centralization of capital and thus power in the hands of few, combined with lobbying/bribes/regulatory capture) liberals will have to choose one or the other - those who choose private ownership are fascists, and those who choose liberty are communists. I don’t have a good catchphrase to encompass that idea, though.

I think it’s best to get out of that cycle and force your body to wake up at the first alarm. Otherwise you’re just wasting time on nothing - your brain doesn’t rest properly in those 5-minute doses and you’re not getting ready either. The way I’m doing it is to put my phone in a different room next to my bedroom so that I have to get out of bed to turn off the alarm. If you’re managing to sleep through alarms it’s probably not the solution for you, so maybe the QRAlarm recommendation made elsewhere in the thread is better.
