Depends on your expectations. If you okay mainly eSports titles at 1080p it would’ve probably been quite sufficient still.
But I agree it’s a stretch as an all-rounder system in 2025. My 3090 is already showing signs of it’s age, a card that’s two generations older would certainly be struggling today.

We don’t need more firearms in personal hands when it comes to our national defence, we need alliances, a better standing army, and probably some form of nuclear deterrence. Thinking you’ll make any meaningful difference with your personal firearm and a couple of hours on the gun range is the exact same magical thinking 2FA nuts keep using while the US government takes their rights and freedoms away.

If your machine has a TPM cup, you can bypass the other requirements to upgrade to 11 with a simple registry edit. Not sure if that’s an option for you, but it saved parents’ older Surface device from the landfill.
Yeah, I can definitely see how this opens the door to abuse if leveraged for evil purposes. It’s the problem with all these “think of the children” laws.
I do believe however that there’s a middle point somewhere between “no system in place at all” and eugenics.
Taking kids away from their parents through CPS should be a last resort on a long path that starts with mandatory education on how to raise your kids using pedagogically approved methods.
Of course that also requires a system of support services and funding for various social programs, so this will probably go nowhere in today’s political landscape.

I’m going to probably rustle some jimmies saying this, but it continues to baffle me how we’re okay was a society to put up a multitude of barriers to adoption in order to protect the child, but we’re totally fine with anyone conceiving without any sort of mandatory education on how to care for a child and some process in place to flag potential unfit parents for review/etc.
