Back in the days when I was switching to Linux, then Ubuntu, I’ve always found the discussions in the German ubuntuusers.de forum respectful and helpful, along with their Wiki. Yet, I don’t know whether that’s the case for the official Ubuntu forums though.
My procedure was usually to simply buy a new hard drive when changing distros or from Windows to Linux.
Then one always has a fully functional backup.
For people wearing glasses, I’d recommend a model with corkscrew, as it comes with a tiny screwdriver.

A travel warning also is very explicitly indicated as a “warning”, e.g. here:

People are warned against travelling to Myanmar.
German nationals are advised to leave the country.

Some years ago, surströmming was actually used to scare away the voles around the king’s library in Stockholm.
I’ve used a Brita jug, but with no name filters from the grocery store.
In Germany, chlorine is extremely rarely used, only if the water from the wells is possibly contaminated with bacteria or, temporarily, if there have been issues with the water tubes.
Especially in Spain, it’s more common.

Seconded. The TPE framing at the sides is too flat to provide sufficient protection of the screen (and as far as I remember, the camera too). I use a similar (but better) version from eBay that does its job.
No, but it has obvious technical reasons, as webUSB isn’t implemented (or enabled?) in Firefox (yet?).
I have an FP5 with /e/OS and it works fine.
It’s working well for me with Firefox, both, on Linux and on Android.
