According to Wikipedia the Philippine National Police has over 70,000 glocks in service.
You know the old saying: “glock glock.”

Ah, so Jeffries wants to prove how much of a milquetoast useless wet sack of shit he is, too.
Who’d have fuckin’ guessed that the country that’s burning bridges with all their allies might have a currency that may not be doing so hot?
Still, none of those people seem to think things through our even think long term.
Exactly, this was a full two years after Netflix had already started their online streaming service no less. Disney+ didn’t launch until 2019, twelve years later. They could have had that institutional dominance at nearly any point but spend a solid decade pissing it away before they finally made use of that intellectual property portfolio.
It reminds me of something only semi-related.
Dec 3, 2009
As she prepared her daughter for college, Anne Sweeney insisted that a television be among the dorm room accessories.
“Mom, you don’t understand. I don’t need it,” her 19-year-old responded, saying she could watch whatever she wanted on her computer, at no charge.
That flustered Ms. Sweeney, who happens to be the president of the Disney-ABC Television Group.
“You’re going to have a television if I have to nail it to your wall,” she told her daughter, according to comments she made at a Reuters event this week. “You have to have one.”
Like Disney-ABC in 2009, these fucking dinosaurs of companies plan to just use institutional dominance and money to force themselves into the position they want to be in. I suspect it will work about as well as Sweeney’s efforts to nail a TV to her daughters wall. (You want to use screws for that anyway, you fucking dipshit, Sweeney) Sweeney was so confident in this approach that she related this story and what she said at a press event. This is how fucking stupid these people are, they’re willing to relate a story like that as though it shows strength and not shortsightedness and ignorance.
In other words, I don’t expect it to work out very well at all.
With the way they’re killing the real economy and giant corps have been focused on stock buybacks instead of investing in their company and workers, it’s almost assuredly going to happen now. People fear Nazi retribution more than they like high pay, and high pay in a quickly inflating currency that will likely lose status as the world reserve currency won’t mean much. Nobody wants to be paid in bitcoin, either.
I will say that joining an instance that does not federate downvotes confers some very real mental health benefits.
All I see are your 15 upvotes, friend. Don’t be discouraged from sharing your experiences.
runaway, uncontrolled, corrupt capitalist
I would actually argue that the only word I disagree with here is “uncontrolled” because it was very tightly controlled for a long time, which allowed the relative stability that let America be a big bully on the world stage, force the dollar as the world’s reserve currency, and lead trading partners to believe we were bullies but mostly trustworthy and would follow through on international deals we made.
Now we are truly entering the “uncontrolled” territory, and that’s why faith from other countries in the US being a reliable partner is faltering.
It’s kind of sad that it isn’t as pronounced as it was on Digg.
This article fails to mention that Huffman has previously praised Musk and how he runs Twitter.
Huffman said he saw Musk’s handling of Twitter, which he purchased last year, as an example for Reddit to follow.
More importantly he’s a doomsday prepper with fucked up views:

I also have this somewhat egotistical view that I’m a pretty good leader. I will probably be in charge, or at least not a slave, when push comes to shove.

Reckless driving, impaired driving, lack of seatbelt use, driving without a license, and road rage are easily documented antisocial behaviors (“rude”) and they have increased. Numerous studies have covered the increase in dangerous driving behaviors since the onset of COVID and they have only decreased slightly since.
I mean I don’t know a lot of people actively wanted to kill others because they decided it was a fucking hoax and some of them literally went to their deathbeds while risking doctors’ and nurses’ lives via exposure to them.
Something emboldened the stupid to be monstrously pig-headed and arrogant about being stupid, and guess what, the people with an education are absolutely sick of their loser ass bullshit.
You don’t negotiate or play nice with idiots whose stupidity can and will fucking kill you and your loved ones and even the ones doling out medical care to the idiots. Nah, this is the world they asked for. Done pandering to pansies who can’t face fucking reality because it makes them feel stupid. Guess what, you are stupid. Get used to it, nimrod, or get a fucking education.
I mean, obviously not since you’re on the internet.
You didn’t build a motherboard, cpu, ram, and so on by hand dude.

Good, at least someone is paying attention.
Well stated. I don’t know why it reminded me of the old Mr. Show sketch about the politician who runs on making fun of a fat guy, and later his own wife:
