Ya know I realise this is complete conspiracy theory.

However, I’m still willing to give a 2-5% chance that if Trump gets back into power, within the last 12-18 months of his presidency he’ll declare a special operation into North Mexico to ‘secure the border’, ‘stop the illegal immigrants’ and ‘remove the drug cartels’.

Then he’ll claim it’s too dangerous to hold the election, or not appropriate, or whatever excuse because of the special operation. And then he’ll postpone the election with the approval of the SC as a presidential duty and therefore not illegal.

And I know this is insane but every time I ask myself “would trump attempt something like this?” The answer is always “yes”

And the old pay phones came in very useful here in SE QLD after cyclone Alfred. Without power all the cell towers stopped working but the old landlines weren’t affected. People were lining up at the phone at the shops near me.

Australia follows British conventions. However both spellings are correct and there has been a rise in ‘z’ over the past few years with American influence.

All government websites etc use British spelling.

As an Aussie it really grinds my gears that office defaults to American spelling. And even after I change the dictionary to Australian or UK english it still continues to insert ‘z’ into words. It’s colonise, not colonize!

I’m on a 12 month contract at the moment but the company just advertised 8 permanent jobs at my level. I’m passing on submitting an application.

Side rant here. I’m working on a project for a new application, after a couple months work I finalised the 150ish requirements, however before approval could be given to approach businesses I had to fo some internal box ticking.

I organised this technical meeting with the IT guys to run through all the requirements, tick and flick that everything was fine. It was a 3 hour meeting that I had book 7 weeks in advance to ensure everyone could attend.

3 weeks before the scheduled date a general manager insists on attending and self-invites. The moment the meeting starts the GM immediately says “they don’t want to read all these requirements” and “don’t you have a presentation?” Followed by “where are the pictures?”.

The entire meeting basically derailed there and we only made it through maybe 50% of what we needed with zero ticking or flicking. That was 3 weeks ago, the project has almost stalled now and I’m still trying to recover the time/progress/momentum I had.

Fucking managers and their demands to be included and flat out refusal to read.

Removing porn is also one of goals of project 2025 so double whammy
