Israel has said it will not release two Palestinian doctors, including paediatrician Hussam Abu Safiya, as part of the ceasefire deal, a Hamas official told CNN.

Safiya was beaten and kidnapped by Israeli forces in Gaza during a raid on Kamal Adwan Hospital in December last year after he refused to abandon patients under siege.

Footage in the aftermath of the attack showed Safiya wearing a white medical overcoat crossing a street strewn with rubble. Safiya has been held since then without charge.

“we can’t release the doctors because they might be Hamas”

They’re literally dealing with Hamas. That’s like saying “we can’t release these soldiers because they might be Israeli”

If they’re just a terrorist organization that doesn’t even deserve pow swaps then what is this ceasefire

So hamas made big demands for the release of people that were part of October 7th but not these guys?

“The occupation refused to release Dr Hussam Abu Safiya,” a Hamas official told CNN on Friday.

No Israel deems torturing medics and children more important than those who participated in Al Aqsa flood.

Would you been kind enough to share?

And no, just because I’m not unquestionably pro-Hamas doesn’t mean I’m here to defend Israel. Ive literally been charged with supporting terrorism for going to a Palestine Action protest. So would appreciate if you didn’t accuse me of supporting a genocidal state simply for mildly critising Hamas and having marginally different opinions to you.

You’ve already forgotten about Israelis literally rioting for the right to rape Palestinian hostages to death (and being granted that right)?

Ive literally been charged with supporting terrorism for going to a Palestine Action protest.

Good thing they stopped you before you could harm the protesters.

No I haven’t. And just like I don’t assume Hamas rapes and tortures every captive they take without evidence just because they’ve done it before, I don’t assume Israel does the same to every hostage they take.

And the fact you can’t produce any of this “”““mountain of evidence””“” just shows me it doesn’t exist and you’re making shit up.

No one had any intention to harm people, I was literally there holding a sign saying I don’t support the genocide in Palestine, and I support Palestine Action.

Genuinely why are you trying to box me in to “the other side” because I’m just mildly critical of Hamas? And don’t think they are 100% perfectly moral and virtuous? It’s just typical purity testing bullshit.

It does not say whether hamas demanded his release or not, just that a hamas person confirmed the israelis refused to release him as part f the ceasefire deal. Dont pin the blame for his imprisonment on hamas.

Acktually, it was Trump who demanded his release, with is “peace deal”.

        Israel isn’t complying.

All Hamas did was report that Israel isn’t complying, and Ziorot trolls see that and thing “it’s all Hama’s fault”

My point is they very specifically demanded the release of people involved in October 7th, but not these people.

If they had they would rightfully be calling Israel out for breaking the deal already
