Darn it, I don’t use cukes nearly enough. They’re so nice for bringing a ‘coolness’ and ‘wateriness’ that can nicely balance spicy food or dry-ish meats, such as that bacon, there. I think they work great in gyro wraps too, for the same reason.
Not that a gyro needs any cooling beyond tzatziki sauce.
Well, I tend to hit almost every non-sweet food item with hot peppers and garlic, so the cukes definitely help me there. For me, food is a delivery system for garlic and spice. :D

Not that a gyro needs any cooling beyond tzatziki sauce. But you can’t always order double meat, no lettuce because of poverty or health reasons.

I have definitely ordered a double meat gyro from Arby’s and put pepper sauce on it.
