I’m just confused by the site description. Aren’t tankies generally right-wing/conservative? The domain name and site description feel like they conflict, unless I’m missing something.
‘Tankie’ comes from a 20th century split in communist parties after some breakaway nation tried to leave the USSR to be more communist, and got stepped on by soviet tanks rolling in–the ‘tankies’ were the ones who kept backing the USSR and woukd brook no criticism.
So yes, right wing conservative–but right wing of a bird that has a left wing and is actually capable of flight. Still radical left in any modern window.
