    Apparently they can, they just cater to richer people now. Eventually they’ll make even the most basic essentials into luxury goods. Then they’ll figure out that they can make profits go up even higher if they don’t waste money actually making things and instead sell virtual goods that are infinitely replicable. Then everyone starves to death.
