The whole reason it’s a duopoly is first past the post.
The real (nonviolent) solution that could actually work is first to pass RCV or similar systems locally and at the state level, then slowly that’ll allow you to vote your conscience and you’ll be better represented. Hopefully those reps would then pass laws to limit PACs, reduce partisan gerrymandering, etc. Of course that takes decades though, we don’t have that long and need more immediate solutions.
