FBI Director Kash Patel said Tyler Robinson, the suspected killer of Charlie Kirk, wrote a note stating his intention to “take out” the influential conservative activist.

Patel, speaking to Fox & Friends on Monday, said the FBI had “forensic evidence” of the note, but that it had “since been destroyed.”

They have a note but it’s been destroyed. Yeah, nothing fishy about this BS at all and it goes without saying completely incompetent that they continue to leak half baked, incomplete investigative information.

The note says that Biden personally asked him to do it. But it’s magically disappeared. There is not note. Stop asking about the note.

I’d be more inclined to believe the FBI if it wasn’t gutted and ransacked only to be run by the stupidest doofuses to ever have existed.

It was destroyed when his Canadian girfriend and his dad who works for Nintendo were fighting over it.

    So there was no note

In their defense, Charlie Kirk picked a bad time to be assassinated. It’s luau week the FBI, and things can get very messy and flamey at the office.

When I first read about this, I understood that the assassin had destroyed the note, perhaps burned it or ripped it up, and that the FBI somehow put it back together or found the traces of ink on a burned note. Am I wrong?

Well if they had done that they could say they had done that. But the more likely hypothesis given who we’re dealing with here is that it’s bullshit and there was no letter.

It appears there are replies to this thread that call into question many of the things stated

it reeks of punditry - surface level knowledge and worst case scenarios presented with lots of confidence. fwiw the persons quoted qualifications have absolutely nothing to do with law. They are a “blockchain” and data science person who also does venture capital and angel investing, aka a classic “I don’t know when to stay in my fucking lane and think that because I made a shitload of money I must be a genius at everything ever” type

Care to analyze any of the statements that have been called out? Or maybe copy/screenshot any of the comments discrediting them if you have the time?

I’m not trying to be an asshole, here, but everything beyond the first sentence or two in your comment is just character assassination (ad hominem). Obviously the guy’s credentials are not in law, but that doesn’t automatically invalidate his analysis since we’ve got no concept of who he’s able to consult with behind the scenes.

I don’t have a BlueSky account, so I can’t check the comments for myself, only see the root posts.

I hate all pundits. They all have stupid dumb takes the public takes as gospel and ends up making this world a worse place. It is the one “profession” I absolutely hate and despise.

Is there any way I can extract all this out into text? I’m having a hard time following each of the posts. They keep hiding behind replies.

Can’t remember if it was part of that thread, or a comment on it… but there was a suggestion that they likely don’t care about the case itself, rather they’re more concerned about crafting and maintaining the narrative. Based on how this week has played out, I can’t say that I’d disagree

Judge: “Mr. Patel, what is your evidence that the accused committed this crime?”

Kash Patel: “Your Honor, it came to me in a dream.”

Judge: “Good enough for me. Guilty!”

It it just me or is there a rather important “Kash Patel says” missing from the headline?

And this right-wing policy of finding someone trans to mention in every report of a shooting, no matter how tangential or irrelevant their transness may be, just so the public can make a good solid mental association between trans people and dangerous violence, is absolutely disgusting.
