You can sometimes see an on location reporter be taken aback and clam up when the anchor asks them a leading question, but by the time they’re doing interviews with political figures they’re given topics to hit or avoid and a tone
By the time they’re behind a desk, they apparently are just fired if they slightly deviate from the message these days
