Video games, especially ones that fully engage and inspire you, are utterly unlike mindlessly scrolling on your phone for your brain.
They could not be more different experiences!
It is more fruitful to compare videogames to reading a book mixed with the mental challenge of a boardgame or sport.
Don’t take my word for it.
Oh, mentally I totally agree that they’re more engaging and and requires far more effort than scrolling socials. Like I’m amazed at how much creativity and strategy people will use for some games.
But physically, I’m still rotting in my bed or on my couch 😭
I mean, you get good hand eye coordination I guess. And Just Dance can certainly be a fun workout.
Cyberpunk. But yeah. Meme fits.
Old version:
Changed it for optional reasons.
Goated game!
my 40 hours in silksong:
Great game.
absolutely worth the wait. i’m not even done… i’m just an hour or so into :::act 3:::
i’m definitely getting a needle tattoo to commemorate it, i’m just in love with the world and characters.
for fucks sake the formatting guide says that’s how to mark spoilers but they’re not showing up at least on old.lemmy.world. and i can’t seem to edit on it either.
I think the word
spoiler
is mandatory. You’re also missing line breaks::: spoiler the spoiler hidden content :::
not
::: the spoiler hidden content :::
or (your version)
:::act 3:::
Tested on the Lemmy web UI
Your spoiler worked for me. If it’s any consolation, I don’t think the Lemmy formatting is uniform across the various apps. I’ve seen other items that were supposedly spoilered that I could read without tapping.
i got 80 :') silk slonged itself perfectly into the 10 before i go back to working and it consumed my soul during this time
