Kirk is being posthumously celebrated by much of the mainstream press as a noble sparring partner for center-left politicians and pundits. Meanwhile, the very real, very negative, and sometimes violent impacts of his rhetoric and his political projects are being glossed over or ignored entirely.
I’m actually very glad he was a nutty groyper and not a Democrat. They’re chomping at the bit to go full 3rd Reich against their opponents, and the entire federal government is situated to allow it to happen. They’re already terrified, and willing to do serious violence against us. I’ll civil war if it comes to it, but do we really want that?
If Trump doesn’t leave office after this term then we will have no choice. Fight it now or leave it for the next generation. Honestly, it will be a different form of civil war, most likely just drones popping any leader that dares come out of their bunker until no one wants to lead. That could be interesting.
