Prosecuted for what? I agree they should be removed from all positions and we shouldn’t cede Berkley any respect like we shouldn’t with Columbia University but prosecuting them requires laws to have been broken.

prosecuted for disclosing students and faculty information on what is free speech. No one is legally required to take a political position thats favorable to zionists or jews. Thats been the elephant in the room this whole time. In shipping that info they abetted in a legally unsanctioned activity.

          1. civil rights violations for impinging on protestor/employees right of free political speech which clearly do not violate any of the exceptions to free speech. The feds and berkeley admins would have to prove that holding a sign that supports palestinian civil rights, freedoms, and ending a violent conflict violates Title 6 of the civil rights act as antisemitism. I doubt the government will be able to pull that off, but its about time they tried it and got their arse kicked for it. It’ll be a nice precedent.
          2. Unreasonable search and seizure of their “papers, houses, persons, and effects” by the government.
          3. Shortly they will likely be a party to malicious prosecution and baseless retaliation, which will be tried in a California court, where they will absolutely win.

I wouldnt place any bets that they “violated no laws”.

Nothing you listed is a law they broke though. Berkley isnt obligated to provide or protect your free speech as an emloyee.

Berkley did not investigate anyone’s homes.

Berkley did not break any law.

After that last comment I went and read a few of your other comments. Who am I to disagree with a guy with your opinions on batman and the duke nukem forever video game. I bow to your compelling ‘nu-uh’ argument and will pursue it no farther with you.

You have yourself a nice day.

For me to have a more compelling argument you actually would have to present a law they broke. You did not provide any evidence that they broke any laws so nuh-uh is the best you can get because you cannot support your own claims.

You never made any reasonable proposition to start with. You made a provocative statement that civil rights and constitutionally guaranteed protections dont apply here and didnt back it up with anything but your opinion, as if you were an expert. I looked through your comments to see if you had the experience to make such an off the cuff claim with no proof and I found duke nukem and batman comments, which leads me to beleive you are not in any way an expert-- just a kid talking about your personal opinion. You are free to have an opinion sure, but without a citation of your own, your assertion that the laws dont apply here is nothing but your opinion. You are the arbiter of nothing and have presented nothing but an editorial so we’re done, buddy. I’ll let you know if I have video games or DC comics questions though.

No offense intended, we all have opinions, but dont pretend you pulled some logic or justified your position here. By all means, have your own opinions about civil rights, and Have yourself a good day.
