Or maybe it has and we should vaccinate in summer as well. Seems more info is needed.

Or just sun-tan your perineal region going by modern HHS guidance…

Yeah that’s kind of what I’m saying. Only one dose in fall is seeming insufficient. Twice per year might be better but I’m no expert.

Twice per year would definitely be better.

        https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37133863/

Results: A total of 799 original articles and 149 reviews published in peer-reviewed journals and 35 preprints were identified. Of these, 40 studies were included in the analysis. Pooled estimates of VE of a primary vaccination cycle against laboratory-confirmed Omicron infection and symptomatic disease were both lower than 20% at 6 months from last dose administration.

It actually has been recommended to take twice a year with a spring booster for seniors and people at risk.

My family has been doing that every year but I think it’s difficult to even get most people to take the fall vaccine. They were worried about vaccine fatigue with even just the one amongst the general public, so they commented at the time not to put emphasis on the need for spring boosters. Most people haven’t had a covid booster in years.

The summer surge is also because of people being inside with AC especially in hotter states like California.

We have never been sick even once since before covid so the vaccines work.
