U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer said using the California National Guard and the Marines to conduct law enforcement in the city violated a 19th century law.
The judge might tut tut at him or he’ll get a sternly worded letter, but I don’t really see him suffering consequences for this (though I would really like to be wrong!)
Him? No. But I think this opens up avenues for civil suits which the settlements from are then paid by the government which is funded by the taxpayers… fuck.
