A shooter identified as Robin Westman has killed two children and injured 17 other people at a Minnesota Catholic school on Wednesday before dying by suicide, officials said.

A shooter opened fire Wednesday morning during Mass at a Minneapolis Catholic school, killing two children and injuring 17 other people before killing himself, officials said.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said the shooter — armed with a rifle, shotgun and pistol — approached the side of the church and shot through the windows toward the children sitting in the pews during Mass at the Annunciation Catholic School.

    Read in another article that it was some 23-year-old dude from the suburbs. Also, that he had, at the time of writing, no obvious criminal history or extremist past.

      Mary Westman, Robin Westman’s mother, applied for a name change for her child in 2019 from Robert Paul Westman to Robin M. Westman because her child “identifies as a female and wants her name to reflect that identification,”
