Saying current events are the same as a movie is 1) foolish and 2) misrepresents the danger these people and groups pose. Underestimate them at your own peril. They’ve already proven how effective they can be with this fool at the helm.
In the movie, the world was hopeless and full of aggressive morons that destroyed the world. The most aggressive and moronic at the top. I see some uncanny parallels.
I don’t have to underestimate the greed, the violence or the stupidity of it all just because I keep my sense of humor about it.

That’s how we know it’s satire and not real life.
