I don’t immediately see any interesting information here. The only thing I can glean from this is what i already knew - people shouldn’t be incarcerated for drugs, people are waiting in jail too long before getting their verdict, and unproven “immigrant detentions” are a worryingly significant number of people.

It was interesting to me that there are more people (7000) in territorial prisons than in Indian Country (2000), though I guess that’s a reflection of how many have left the rez. I’d be curious about a state breakdown, per capita, of the local jails and state prisons.
