it’s clear that no one can rely on help or warning from “officials” anymore. everyone needs to get themselves prepared for whatever weather disaster might happen in their area. supplies, bug out bags, escape plans–all of that

western NC is still trying to recover from the hurricane last september, with state legislature (all R) bickering and not passing the budget

they’re talking about people who are actively witnessing degree inflation, student debt, people applying for 100 jobs to get 3 interviews, and not getting picked anyway because of nepotism-- not to mention the obliteration of the dept of education and grant moneys going up in smoke. i’m well over 40 with a masters, and i would 100% choose something other than a 4 year degree at this point

to me, all you need as a counterpoint to the whole post is GTA-- it does disallow the player doing some terrible things, but not many. and it’s enjoyed by millions.

that said, i’ve played every GTA since OG part 1 and have yet to turn into a murderous car jacking bank robbing mean person

determination to destroy or hide all evidence of climate change is going to cost a lot of lives in the coming years.
