That partially still works great. Throw tons of moneyz at even the most redundant stupid shit and eventually everyone uses it and it will turn profitable. Pair that with aggressive guerilla marketing and you’re set.

Technically you’re right. The merchant pays the fee. But, those transactional costs are overall calculated into the prices. Like everything else e.g. transportation, packaging, wages, theft, breakage etc. So in the end it’s the customer paying those 2-3% even though no price changes if you change payment.

As for the boycott: yes, sure. Voting with your wallet always works. The problem is how deeply they’re burrowed into the system globally. The merchant doesn’t care, it wants its money in whatever way. But if they don’t offer an alternative, you can’t boycott it (unless you erase that product from your life or find another merchant). And if you don’t boycott it, they don’t offer an alternative. Also most people simply don’t care at all…

That is sadly a trend I witness heavily here. Have a card or pay a lot more. Except Aldi they all do that now. You can’t trust any discount-signs anymore as they all have a Lil footnote á LA “only with our app”. Boycotting this trend seems to be hard 😔

The happy one of course. If possible. I never found one that was really fun, so I quit jobs. Hobbies are simply more fulfilling.

But if I HAD to, then I’d pick a badly paid funny job over a greatly paid shitty one any time. We only live once. If bills couldn’t be paid I’d need to lower bills to match my life to my pay. Not the other way round.

The victims are those who want musk punished. Sadly those beyond ‘rich’ are basically untouchable. The minute you wrote this, musk made more than the insurance would raise. And even if he would not have, what would happen? If you had a million and I’d rob you of a fraction of a cent, how much would that affect you?

There’s always more. And even, in the best case possible, he had to pay solely and completely alone, you really think he’d even notice? In the time I wrote this he made more.
