How do you just “reclaim” a vehicle, especially one with all these software and hardware dependencies. I don’t know if a stolen Tesla is worth anything at the moment besides scrap.

Sure, it’s a waste of resources, but those resources were never going to help anyone so it’s not really wasted.

IIRC it did have a hint of truth, like most things do. They then spun a totally different story from it. The hint of truth is it was for school shootings where they couldn’t leave the classroom for an extended period of time.

Instead of addressing the real issue, which is that school shootings have become so common that preparations like this need to be made, they spun it into a story that the schools were pandering towards furries. As always, it’s all smoke and mirrors to keep people distracted and give them an enemy, so they don’t force representatives to actually help them.

No, they stood against it, putting their bodies on the line, with one dying. They just critically undermanned the defences. All cops are bastards, but they can also sometimes do the right thing, and they did in this case.

This is the difference between the ultra-wealthy of the gilded age and today. Those of the gilded age built things with their wealth for the public, so they wouldn’t turn against them. Today they think they’re untouchable. They hoard their wealth and don’t try to do anything with it.

Yet, the gilded age came to an end with regulations, because they were amassing too much wealth. They only had a small fraction of what the ultra-wealthy today have. Something needs to be done about them, and the government isn’t taking action…
