Today is some more Assassin’s Creed Shadows. I had the entire day free today so i spent all my time doing some side stuff in this game. I had the window cracked and a nice brisk breeze was blowing in, so it was a 10/10 gaming session.
I went and got the last Legendary Sumi-e i need. It was this pretty Deer with a tree for horns. I meant for it to be the first one i got but i completely missed it the first spring. So now i finally managed to get it. This one was the prettiest out of all of them. The others were a Silver Fox, a Tanuki with a pile of gold, and three Monkeys. The only one that comes close in my opinion is the Silver Fox, as it was just as beautiful as the deer. But i far more favor the glowing antlers of this one.
Along my way to see the deer, i was collecting a collectible with 22 of them to collect, and i came across this massive waterfall. Initially i accidentally dodged off the edge and made my character a mess on the pavement below, but second go around i found a branch i missed last time and was able to do a leap of faith. This thing is freakishly tall. Probably one of the tallest Waterfalls i’ve seen in gaming for a while.
My journey also took me along the coast line and i found this pretty town along the water. None of the missions are here, at least not so far, so it was a pretty sight to see.
After getting the deer i took a route out and it started raining, i got to pass through this grove of trees in the rain that was gorgeous. Around here i discovered that the horses are clearly related to Skyrim horses, as ended up using one to scale up the side of a mountain that normally NPCs can’t clear.
One last thing i wanted to share is a floating lantern i stumbled across in the middle of nowhere. I don’t know if some employee accidentally messed up or if there’s a missing model in my version or what, but i found this lantern floating like a foot of the ground and got a good laugh out of it.
Reminds me of The Legend of Zelda’s Satori/Lord of the Mountain. Are they based on the same Japanese lore or reference perhaps?
I could definitely see them being inspired by the same creature. they have that same kind of ambience to them. I believe all the Legendary Sumi-e in the game are based on Mythology too in some way (i can’t say for certain though), so i wouldn’t say it’s too far of a reach
Love these. There’s just something so serene about these posts.
The animals are my favorite part of sharing with this game. I took a picture of a Stingray and some sort of Shark today while i was playing and i’ve already decided that i want to use on of them in today’s post
