swisscows.com is deffinetly worth checking out, as they not only do have a search engine, but also mail services and a messenger aswell as a vpn. And their name is kinda funny.

Qwant (at least the way I would pronounce it, let’s say in a French way) doesn’t sound bad at all.
I pronounce it like an Aussie, been enjoying the site and it’s results. These quants are allright.
I’m a Kagier myself, but I don’t say “I’m gonna kagi this”. The word “search” still works, people understand it.

The languages dropdown on the search result has “US” listed as a language, but not English. Literally unusable.

Not yet. The project was announced in November 2024. First results are expected in summer 2025.

Swiss cow?
We have a saying here, “Das geht auf keine Kuhhaut”, “that doesn’t fit on any cow hide”, meaning, too much crazies/bullshit to fit even on a cow hide, let alone a pergament (hide of small game).
I used to use Swisscows often. They usually give good results, moreso than other search sites. I only stopped using them because their site doesn’t work without javascript, and I don’t really use that anymore.
