Essayli responded to an earlier social media post from Newsom, who wrote, “Kristi Noem is going to have a bad day today,” before signing a series of bills protecting California’s immigrant population, including a ban on face coverings for federal agents and a requirement for officers to identify themselves.
The “threat” was obviously against Noem’s evil politics, not against Noem physically. She’s going to have a bad day because the raids will go badly.
He’s highlighting their hypocrisy yet again by using the language they use when they are making threats.

He said this then signed bills to muck up her shitty immigration policies, if you interpreted this as a threat, you’re fucking stupid 🌈
They didn’t interpret it that way. They are using its ambiguity to justify weaponization of the DHS.
What are the consequences of a bad threat assessment? Hopefully it just means he’d never need to be close enough to Trump to smell his diapers.
Or trying to push a specific narrative.
Apparently, saying that someone is going to “have a bad day today” requires a thorough investigation.
