I am calling it now. That Schmuck is Banksy and the removal is part 2 of the performative art piece.
I hope nobody crops the image out of the many photographs, then gets it printed large on thousands of posters, then accidentally fly-posts it on every surface in the area.

To be fair they’re probably not getting paid a lot for doing that and know that there’ll be a lot of hatred towards them. They were probably picked because the higher ups knew that they don’t know how to say no, or can’t because they need the job.

Imagine being a facility manager who works for barely a living and being assigned to paint over an art piece probably worth millions because it doesn’t fit the government narrative.

To be honest I’m a bit confused because they appear to shit themselves when the person filming says the police are here, and then they say “you were sat in your car in fairness mate” implying the cops can figure out who they are. Tradesmen don’t tend to use cars either.
I may be wrong but I don’t think they’ve been officially employed to do this. Or if they have it’s being done in a very underhand way.
They could have also just been waiting for the police for some reason. They look like they could have just been grabbing their glasses off to the side that they probably didn’t want splatter from the paint stripper ruining them
