Yup yup. I’ll continue recycling my one milk jug and 12 pieces of junk mail per week.

Meanwhile, we’ll let corpos dump whatever wherever and use all out clean water to cool GPUs (so long as they make good on their bribe campaign contribution).

I used to be an idealistic youth, but now it feels pointless to care about personal accountability when a single company is allowed to do more environmental damage in a day than I could do in my whole life.

Its so fun living in a world where Monday everyone posts about how they are saving the environment by using mason jars and only eating salads. Then Tuesday they post about their new Amazon order full of crap that they damm well know will be in the trash bin by Friday.

The thing about climate change that most governments seem to want more than anything, is for us ordinary people to know that it’s our fault it’s happening, not theirs. Decades of gaslighting just to make sure we all feel the climate is going crazy because we didn’t individually recycle enough.

My favorite is that there’s still institutions talking about the +1.5°C goal. We’re already seeing average temperatures beyond that and we haven’t even started slowing down how much it heats up. For that, we’d need to bring CO2 emissions close to 0, not increase them year after year.
